On Christmas Eve, we went to church and then came home to prepare for Santa's arrival!
We got our reindeer food out and headed outside!
Jayden was so excited to pour it in the grass for the reindeer!
I never took a picture of the outside of our house. Jamie did an awesome job with all the decorations. Jayden called it, "The best house EVER!" :)
Time to leave Santa some cookies!
Jayden told me what to write, then signed his name.
I wrote word for word. :)
All ready for Santa!
Santa came to our house!!
Christmas morning...
Waiting to come downstairs!!!!
Checking out what Santa left them.
Checking to see if Santa ate the cookies...
Santa brought Jayden and Brady "GIL" the green truck!
Checking out the stuff in his stocking.
Daddy had fun helping Brady.
Stocking!
"OH! How did Santa know I would love these?"
Chocolate for breakfast!?!? Only on Christmas morning!!!
Checking out his blocks.
Still working on his stocking.
I continued the tradition my mom started for my sister and I a long time ago. Jenn and I would always try to figure out what we got by shaking and feeling our gifts. So, my mom would wrap my presents in one kind of wrapping paper and Jenn's in a different wrapping paper. I did this with the boys. I never had to write a gift tag, and Jayden LOVED sorting out the presents for him and little brother. Fun!
Here's the difference in the two boys...Jayden opened everything in a few minutes. He opened something, set is aside and tore into the next present. He was completely done and Brady had only opened a few. When Brady opened a gift, he wanted Daddy to actually "open" it. Brady took so long opening gifts. It was so fun watching the excitement on their faces.
Checking out the fish tank!
Brady laid and watched this for a while!
Jamie shopped with me for a few things. This was something Jamie picked out.
I think it was Brady's favorite Christmas gift...his very own Fire Truck!
I loved Christmas as a child, but watching my boys open presents brings a whole new meaning to the joy of Christmas. I honestly believe it is more fun to give than to receive.
Laughing at Cookie Monster
John Deer Tractor
After Jayden opened his presents, he wanted to check out what brother got.
Such a fun morning.
Brady sleeps with this little Elmo under his arm every night.
Jayden was trying out the cleaning set he got.
Time to play!
Jayden asked if he could finish the cookies Santa didn't eat.
Brady heard the word, "cookies" and came running. Cookies for breakfast?
Only on Christmas morning! ;)
Putting the cleaning trolley to work.
We had a great morning!
More Christmas pics to come...
Looks like Santa was good to J and B!! they must have been very good boys!!! Looks like a fun time was had by all. I also loved the excitement when the girls would get a gift they really wanted. Yes, more blessed to give than to receive. Thanks for sharing your Christmas morning.
