On Friday, we took the boys to the San Diego Zoo!
The wheel on our double jogger popped at Sea World, so we rented this double for our boys at the zoo. It was a bit small (or my boys "might" be a bit big?), but it worked out okay.
We headed to the Skyway first!
Jayden was so excited because he said it was a train in the sky!
It does ride on a track. Ha!
The boys loved looking at all the monkeys!
I know you can't tell, but if you enlarge the pic,
you'll see a monkey sitting on the branch, behind the boys.
Brady loved seeing all the animals.
It was so cute hearing him say all the sounds the animals make.
There are a lot of hills at the zoo! Daddy was a trooper!
Stopping for a snack
Zebra
The polar bear exhibit was pretty cool!
My little otters!
Can you see the polar bear sleeping on the rock?
That's all it did for us, too! :)
One of Jayden's favorite things...
Brother was co-pilot!
Playing in the bear cave
Brady loved the elephants!
Another one of Jayden's favorite things!
The weather was so nice for us on Friday, too!
Jayden wanted to get his face painted!
He sat so still! Of course, he wanted something GREEN!
Green is his favorite color.
Brady liked playing with this machine at Sea World and the Zoo!
So, while Jayden got his face painted,
Daddy flattened a special penny with Brady.
Checking out the finished product!
Giraffes!
These were my favorite...
We rode the tour bus all over the zoo.
Jayden loved riding on the top of the bus!!
Casey has been my friend for 25 years! We went to elementary, middle and high school together. She lives in SD now, and decided to spend a few hours with us while we were at the zoo.
They had a playground for the kiddos...
The boys loved the petting zoo!
There was a goat in this play tube, and Brady wanted to crawl in with it.
(of course, Mommy said NO! Yuck!)
Brady holds his hand out like this when he wants to hold something...
I don't think he could have held this goat! :)
My tender-hearted little boy was so concerned because one of the sheep had a bandage on it's foot. He spent a lot of time trying to get the sheep to come over to him because Jayden said he needed to find out what was wrong. He gets so bothered when people/animals are hurt.
Yep...back to the tube for Brady!
Where's Jayden?
Looking at the mice
Sea Otter Show
The boys were so tired by the second afternoon, but they were so good. They are used to a strict nap schedule, so they did well considering we through them off for a few days.
Thanks for taking the time to come hang out with us Casey!
Time to head home!
But not without a souvenir first!
The boys chose snakes as their prizes from the zoo...
Brady was kissing his.
Brady was kissing his.
Jayden was OUT before we left the parking lot.
He was making sure to sleep with all three of his buddies...
Magic Rex, Shamu, and Snakie :)
Brady did so well this trip. We were so happy!
We have been celebrating Fall by going to the Pumpkin Patch, going to a fun Halloween Party, Trunk-or-Treat at church, and we can't wait for Halloween tomorrow. I have lots of catching up to do! I will work on it this week. Have a fun and safe Halloween!
