Mr. Motorcycle Man

We love our local stores in Beaumont. The people are so friendly and patient.One of our favorite stores in Beaumont is the donut store! The owner of the store drives a motorcycle. Jayden was excited about this right away and started calling him, "Mr. Motorcycle Man!" We go to the donut store once a month or so, and Jayden always runs in to shake his hand. He's just as excited to see the 

"Motorcycle Man" as he is to pick his donut.

We went in one day and Jayden said, "Good Morning Mr. Motorcycle Man!" (the man loves Jayden) We bought our donuts and when we paid, the man pulled a toy out from behind the counter. He told Jayden he had been waiting for him to come back in. The toy was a little replica of his real motorcycle. Jayden was so excited. A few days later, we took "Mr. Motorcycle Man" a thank-you card. When he gave it to the man, the man asked Jayden if he wanted to go outside and sit on the motorcycle. I had one happy and excited little boy! 

We went outside and Jayden sat on his bike...here's a picture.  :)

How often does this happen? I love that Jayden is so relational. It seriously makes my heart smile to watch him interact with people of all ages. He brings so much joy to my life and to watch him share that joy with others makes me so proud. 

As we were leaving the donut shop, the owner walked us out to our car and told Jayden he couldn't wait to see him next time. Jayden smiled and said, "Mr. Motorcycle Man, next time I want to get circle donuts (donut holes), and I want you to sit and have circle donuts with me." The owner smiled back and told Jayden, "It's a date!" We'll be returning sometime next week so my little man can have his special date with the donut owner.
