Fun while the water boils...

Last night, we made spaghetti for dinner! The boys LOVE spaghetti! We try to have dinner ready when Daddy gets home from work, and baths done, so we can just relax and play. Jamie is on his last day of 19 days or work straight, and we are all VERY excited.
It's been a long stretch.
While the water for the noodles was boiling, we decided to get a few pictures.
Then, it was time for the boys to play while Mommy finished making dinner.
The boys are so good at finding ways to entertain themselves.
They play so well together. I often hear,
"Come on Brady, follow me! I will show you how it works."
This is a pretty routine event in our house while I'm cooking.
The boys climb in and out of all the chairs!
 Jayden says it's their fort.
Brady is turning in to quite the climber. He loves to climb up on Jayden's little folding chairs and stands up! I really can't take my eyes off this little one, but he's so adventurous and fun. Jayden helps me keep an eye out for his little brother too. Jayden tells Brady, "Don't do that Brady, you might fall and get hurt." I love that he watches out for him!
On to the next thing...refrigerator fun!
The boys have a cupboard in the kitchen that does not have child locks.
This is their play cupboard. Every kid needs one, right?
 Funny story...
The boys do the above things on a daily basis, I just decided to grab my camera this time. However, Jayden found parts to my breast pump in the tub this time and decided he wanted to pretend like he had milk! Haha! He said, "Okay, turn it on Mommy. Can you hear that? It's pumping my milk." The funny thing is...I only pumped a few times when Brady was little because he never took a bottle. This kid has an amazing memory, it blows me away because he talks about that has happened last year!
I hadn't pumped since Brady was 3 months old! You're so smart, Jayden!
Since I had my camera out anyways,
I decided to snap a few pictures of the boys enjoying their meal.
Since the evenings have been so nice, we've been going for a walk after we have dinner.
Jamie is such a trooper, he comes home tired and still puts our needs above his own.
We love you, Daddy!

Have a great weekend!

  1. I love that you do baths and have dinner ready before Jaime gets home! What a great mom and a great idea! I'll have to remember that and try to do it more often! You are a great mommy Kirsta! :) I also loved the one of J with the pump parts! SO FUNNY!
